Social media managers who oversee LGBTQ+ brands use their platforms to recognize, celebrate, and engage with the queer community. Allied groups and even your dentist’s office might, as well. Considering the number of these “social media holidays”, exhaustive coverage is, well, exhausting.

In case you haven’t noticed, there are a lot of “days.” And every day, there’s a new “day” for something. Awareness days, historic days, Throwback Thursdays and Flashback Fridays, days of remembrance… even National Noodle Day, which is not technically on this list, but if you’re creative, it could be. (It’s October 6th.)

February

In the US, February is Black History Month.

In the UK, February is LGBT History Month. This is often recognized internationally and in addition to October in the US.

7th | National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

Aromantic Spectrum Awareness Week (the week following Valentine’s Day)

20th | World Day of Social Justice

March

March is Women’s History Month.

The first Saturday of March is the Mardi Gras Parade in Australia.

1st | Zero Discrimination Day

10th | National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

20th | National Native HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

31st | International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV)

National LGBT Health Awareness Week (last week of March)
